Reporting to the CFO in this newly created role, the Group Financial Controller will lead the organisation's Finance function with responsibility for all financial, group reporting and controlling duties, to ensure accurate and timely financial information for strategic decision making, compliance and stakeholder reporting.
In detail

Financial Reporting & Compliance: Leading all financial accounting functions and maintaining timely accurate financial reporting including Board Reports. Maintaining internal controls and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and all transactions. Ownership of balance sheet reconciliation for the group.

Treasury & Cash Management: Management of cash flow and operational cashflow forecasts.

Taxation & Compliance: Managing tax obligations including BAS, FBT, IAS, annual tax returns across Australia while optimising taxation strategies.

Leadership & Commercial Support: Lead and elevate the finance team, through hands-on mentoring and leadership, while delivering sharp strategic financial insights that drive business growth and unlock performance.

Financial Forecasts and Budget: Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.

Continuous Improvement: Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives and automation of processes including improvement of the ERP system.

What you'll need to succeed
This is a role for someone who can demonstrate experience in a Financial Controller position where you can show a high level of success managing a finance team and delivering robust financial information accurately and on time.
You are a strong communicator and someone who is detail oriented with a high level of analytical skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
Essential Criteria

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

CPA/CA Qualification

Outstanding leadership qualities and management experience to mentor and develop a finance team

Demonstrated experience in financial management

Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

Strong knowledge of financial practices and regulations

• Proficient in financial software and ERP
