Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and administration of an effective accounting system to generate information essential to management planning and control of company operations.
  • Organize and staff the Accounting Department with qualified capable personnel. Provide adequate training and performance feedback of Accounting Staff.
  • Cooperate with department managers and establish or assist in the development of annual budgets.
  • Act as liaison with company’s independent auditors on accounting and tax matters.
  • Approve credit, extension of credit and arrange for collection of past due accounts.
  • Monitor daily cash flow activity to coordinate the bank line of credit. ' Provide weekly status reports to pertinent managers/executives on bookings, backlog, and cash flow.
  • Responsible for application of all machinery deposits.
  • Maintain fixed asset records.
  • Plan and perform a wide variety of duties involving general and cost accounting for the preparation of monthly internal financial statements to reflect the conditions and activities of the company. Control adherence to budgetary figures by analyzing results and preparing operating reports indicating deviations.
  • Develop and maintaining manufacturing standard cost systems, variance analysis, make vs. buy analysis, along with analyzing job costing of custom machinery.
  • Active involvement with physical inventory
  • Interface with associates in Manufacturing, Purchasing and Engineering in developing product costs.
  • Develop, analyze and interpret data to appraise operating results, performance, product profitability, organizational effectiveness and capability utilization.
  • Perform other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives in an efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of accounting (general and cost) and financial theory and practice, tax procedures, and budgeting techniques.
  • 4 year degree in Accounting
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
