Reproductive Psychiatrists
Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $230,000 - $257,600 a year; Associate Professor: $264,000 - $344,000 a year; Professor: $295,000 - $335,000 a year
The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will contribute to psychiatric care of the Maternal and Women's Health program, including providing specialized care for mental health conditions associated with reproductive life stages, including pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and menopause. Appointees will deliver medication management and, when appropriate, psychotherapy for patients experiencing mood and anxiety disorders that may be influenced or intensified by hormonal changes. These roles work closely with OB/GYN clinicians to offer coordinated, holistic care that supports maternal and reproductive mental health.
They will also contribute to the continued growth of the Reproductive Psychiatry program. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Psychiatry, and 4) have residency training in Adult Psychiatry.
