About the Role
Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist who loves working with children? As our Speech Pathologist, you’ll conduct assessments and deliver engaging therapy for children aged 1 to 12. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including occupational therapists and therapy assistants—and create unique therapy plans that help children reach their full potential.
This role offers fantastic career growth, with opportunities to transition into a Team Leader role by 2025. Plus, we offer flexibility with part-time (minimum 3 days) or full-time options to suit your lifestyle!
What You’ll Do
- Provide therapy for children in areas like articulation, language, literacy, and neuro-affirming interventions for autism or other developmental delays.
- Facilitate engaging group programs with therapy assistants to create exciting learning environments.
- Work closely with families and key stakeholders to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Conduct sessions at our Ivanhoe and Macleod hubs, with one mobile day per week.
- Offer supervision to junior staff (if desired), nurturing their growth and development.
Requirements
Who You Are
- An experienced Speech Pathologist with 3+ years of expertise working with children, conducting assessments, and creating therapy plans.
- Excited to work on Fridays for our fun team development sessions.
- Knowledgeable about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework.
- Passionate about child development and enjoy play-based assessments to connect with young clients.
- Confident in parent coaching, helping families to support therapy goals at home.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys a supportive and social work environment.
- Qualified with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Speech Pathology and registered with Speech Pathology Australia.
