Description

  Position: Speech Pathologist - Full Time /Part Time/ Locum  2021

At Speech Language & Learning we are looking for a confident Speech Pathologist with great people skills to join our expanding team.  We focus on bringing out the best in our team members, because we know this will result in the best experience for our clients. The position will be based in Clayfield but may involve providing services at our other sites in East Brisbane, Indooroopilly, Ascot or Brighton. 

We will mentor you closely to ensure you grow, learn and become a perfect fit for our clinic.

Requirements

Professional Skills:      You may be a new graduate or have several  years of experience with:

-   demonstrated understanding of methodologies in the provision of SLP services (assessment and intervention) with speech, language and literacy learning and range of diagnosed conditions, including Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Developmental Language Disorders, Speech Sound Disorders including CAS and Learning Difficulties.

-   providing services for children and families within an educational environment, particularly within a multi-disciplinary team

-   a good working knowledge of current evidence-based practices

-   excellent verbal and written communication skills

-   you have excellent time management and organisational skills

Qualification & Registration:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent
  • Current Membership or eligibility for Membership of Speech Pathology Australia and ability to hold CPSP status
  • Current Paid Employee Positive Blue Card

You will also:

  • Hold a current driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle for travel between centres
  • Be prepared to commit to a minimum of 2 year period.
