Description
At Design Workshop, the Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting firmwide marketing and business development activities. Based in our Denver studio, this role is responsible for producing high-quality marketing deliverables including proposals, qualifications packets, presentations, and digital content, while maintaining brand consistency and supporting cross-functional coordination across technical teams. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative environment and be skilled at managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced professional services setting. Here's an outline of the essential responsibilities:
Pursuit Leadership & Proposal Management
- Lead the end-to-end pursuit process for RFPs, RFQs, and interview presentations from go/no-go through final submission.
- Develop and manage pursuit schedules, task lists, and internal deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Facilitate kickoff meetings and strategy sessions to align messaging, differentiators, and win themes.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between technical staff, leadership, and subconsultants.
- Track progress, follow up on deliverables, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with all submission requirements, formatting standards, and brand guidelines.
- Manage final production, quality control, and delivery of proposal materials.
Content Strategy & Development
- Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives to clearly communicate value, expertise, and differentiators.
- Maintain and update boilerplate content, project sheets, resumes, and firm qualifications.
- Support the development of compelling interview presentations.
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of pursuit processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
Brand & Marketing Support
- Support development of marketing collateral including case studies, presentations, and digital content.
- Maintain organized libraries of marketing assets and CRM data.
- Ensure consistency of brand voice and visual identity across all materials.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with firm leadership and business development teams to understand market strategy and pipeline priorities.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen pursuit positioning and storytelling.
- Contribute to process improvements that elevate proposal quality and increase win rates.
Requirements
Fundamental
- Bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing or related field.
- 2-4 years of marketing experience in the AEC or professional services industry.
- Excellent software proficiency with Adobe InDesign.
- Experience with the production of proposals, qualifications, interview presentations and other marketing materials in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Effective team-player.
- Strong graphic design and layout skills.
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in an organized, efficient and effective manner that results in clear understanding and action.
- Critical thinker with great attention to detail.
Preferred
- Ability to lead others in developing a strategy and then assume responsibility for its management and implementation.
- Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and obtaining professional certifications.
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, construction and planning industry.
