We are seeking an experienced Employee Wellness Lead to join our Workplace Safety & Health team. Under the general guidance of the Workplace Safety & Health Manager, the Employee Wellness Lead will promote the health and well-being of all Manitoba Hydro employees by providing leadership and expertise in employee wellness, developing and administering related programs and implementing initiatives that contributes to the achievement of a healthy workplace.

- Design, develop and implement leading-edge employee wellness initiatives for the enterprise in collaboration with leaders,
employees and union officials.
- Model a customer-centric approach for its assigned team, units, services, projects and improvement initiatives.
- Work with line management and Business HR to oversee medical leaves, attendance management, return to work programs,
and long-term disability management.
- Lead, mentor and provide guidance to a diverse team of healthcare and administrative professionals.
- Develop and implement workplace accommodations (temporary and permanent) with Business HR and supporting Manitoba
Hydro's compliance with relevant legislation.
- Develop and maintain relevant wellness policies and procedures.
- Recommend ways to improve or enhance associated services by monitoring and analyzing data and identifying trends.
- Manage and track costs associated with health and wellness initiatives.
- Develop leading and lagging health and wellness indicators, reports, and dashboards as needed.

- A degree in a relevant field such as Health Sciences (Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology), Human Resources or a related
discipline plus five years of directly related experience in wellness management including two years of leadership experience.
- A diploma in a relevant field such as Health Sciences (Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology), Human Resources or a related
discipline plus seven years of directly related experience in wellness management including two years of leadership
- A Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Professional certification, (i.e., Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant
(CHSC) or their equivalent is considered an asset.
- Practical experience in developing and implementing health and wellness programs with a focus in organizational wellness,
attendance/disability management, and return to work programs in a multi-union environment or complex public sector
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and mentor and manage a diverse team of healthcare and administrative professionals.
- Moderate to high level exposure to stress resulting from complex interactions, stakeholder relations, and output requirements.
- High degree of emotional intelligence required in order to develop and maintain good relationships, communicate clearly,
influence and inspire others, work well in a team, and manage conflict.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote and Power BI.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills as well as highly developed conflict resolution, analytical and
problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain productive working relationships with
leaders, employees, union officials and external stakeholders.
- Ability to exercise and apply good judgment and decision-making in response to stakeholder needs.
- Knowledge of relevant health and privacy legislation and experience working with collective agreements.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple initiatives, and lead organizational change.
- Demonstrated experience in developing successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and possess a valid Driver's Licence.


Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $43.40-$59.92 Hourly,
$83,164.38-$114,818.86 Annually.
