Overview

Purple Sage Golf Course , a dynamic municipal facility in Southwest Wyoming, is seeking an enthusiastic, service-driven Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional to join our team for the upcoming 2026 season.  The Purple Sage offers one of the most engaging work environments in Wyoming golf, featuring a 7,000-yard, 18-hole Championship Course, strong junior and adult programs, popular tournaments, active men's and women's leagues.  Our property also includes The Fairway restaurant creating a blend of golf, and a meeting destination for all groups.

The Assistant Pro playsa key role in delivering an exceptional golf experience with a strong focus on service,learning, and leadership. The Assistant Pro position we are offering is ideal forpursuing a career in golf or continuing to advance through the PGA AssociateProgram.

Compensation includes - the pay of $18 to $23 an hour based on experience. It alsoincludes PUD on equipment as well as Soft Goods Discount up to 30%. The position isseasonal; it begins March 15 th and ends November 15 th .

Transition and Succession Planning -  This position supports continuity of operationsand knowledge transfer as part of a planned professional transition at Purple SageGolf Course. The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head GolfProfessional to gain experience in all aspects of golf operations. Subject toperformance, organizational needs, budget approval, and Board direction, experiencegained in this role may position a successful candidate to be considered for futureprofessional leadership opportunities. Advancement is not guaranteed and wouldoccur through a formal recruitment process.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with golf shop operations, customer service, tee sheet management, pace-of-play support, and opening/closing procedures. 
• Support merchandising operations including purchasing assistance, displays, inventory checks, and retail sales. 
• Support tournament and league operations including preparation, scoring, communications, and on-course setup. 
• Assist in the administration and engagement of the Men's and Women's Leagues.  
• Positive customer interaction. 
• Promote Purple Sage standards of professionalism, and safety.
• The candidate works under the direction of the Head Golf Professional and 1 st Assistant.   
• Assignments are given with general guidelines, and the employee is expected to use independent judgment and professionalism in daily tasks, customer interactions, and operational decisions. 
• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient golf course operations.
