Description
OverviewWiltwyck is the premier family oriented semi-private club in the mid-Hudson Valley located in Kingston, conveniently off exit 19 of the New York State Thruway. Originally founded in 1933, Wiltwyck relocated to its present location in 1954. Wiltwyck's golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is widely recognized as the best example of modern championship golf architecture within 60 miles of its home in Kingston, New York. Wiltwyck provides a best-in-class golf experience for golfers of all ages and levels. Aside from the golf course and driving range, the grounds include a pool, tennis and pickle ball courts, a banquet facility as well as indoor and patio dining, all in a relaxed and elegant environment.
Experience Required
* Experience with Tournament Software - Tournament Management/Golf Genius
* Experience in organizing, promoting and conducting professionally run member tournaments, leagues and golf outings.
* Ability to analyze a situation and make decisions under pressure.
* Familiarity with managing tee times, creating event blocks and reconciling daily rounds.
* Experience in club fitting and teaching, or a passion for developing as a club fitter and teacher is preferred.
* Knowledge of USGA Rules of Golf
* Proficient in computer application including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, POS, Tee Time Systems, Inventory Control Systems.
Essential Responsibilities
* Assists in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
* Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests.
* Promotes all club golf activities.
* Assists in the creation of lesson plans and provides both individual and group instruction.
* Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
* Prepares for all golf outings including coordinating scorecards, cart signs, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.
* Champions league nights including member and public play
* Follows established opening and closing procedures.
* Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve member and guest satisfaction.
* Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Head Golf Professional
* Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
* Attends staff meetings.
