Walnut Creek embraces modern golf technology, including TrackMan Range, and will introduce a new indoor simulator program beginning in the winter of 2026 to enhance player development and off-season activity.

Position Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional will contribute to all aspects of golf operations, including tournament administration, instruction, daily operations, merchandising, and member engagement. This position offers exceptional career development, including hands-on mentoring from PGA Professionals with over 20 years of industry experience, preparing the candidate for future advancement within the profession.

Experience Required

• PGA Class A Member or Level 2/3 Associate required
• Private club experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Jonas, Golf Genius, Microsoft Office, and social media
• Experience with technology (TrackMan or similar) preferred
• Teaching and fitting experience a plus
• Team-oriented mindset with a desire for professional growth

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing tournaments and golf events
• Conduct lessons, clinics, and player development programs
• Support Junior Golf and PGA Junior League initiatives
• Manage daily golf operations, tee sheets, and pace of play
• Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and the golf shop retail experience
• Provide club repair and equipment fitting services
• Deliver exceptional member service consistent with a family-friendly environment
• Uphold club policies and support a safe, enjoyable golf experience
• Play golf with members and participate in engagement activities
