Description
- Conduct fact-finding investigations at the school level by reviewing federal records, applications, responses, and related evidence.
- Analyze and summarize evidence, categorize allegations, and identify patterns across applications.
- Draft requests for additional information when needed; review and synthesize responsive materials.
- Perform individual application adjudication, including:
Confirming case readiness and completeness.
Determining applicable standard(s) - Applying facts to legal standards and documenting rationale.
- Drafting detailed decision letters (when applicable) using approved templates.
- Accurately document actions, outcomes, and notes in a Salesforce-based claims/case management system.
- Save/organize supporting documentation in a SharePoint environment using required naming and filing protocols.
- Meet established accuracy and efficiency targets, participate in quality control reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Protect sensitive information and comply with all security, privacy, and records-handling requirements.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar membership (any U.S. jurisdiction) in good standing
- 3+ years of relevant legal experience (government, regulatory, administrative law, litigation support, consumer protection, investigations, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to:
Apply complex facts to legal/regulatory standards
Produce high-quality written analyses in a production environment - Work accurately under deadlines and throughput expectations
- Experience with document review tools (e.g., Relativity or similar) and case management systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar)
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with administrative adjudications, benefits/claims review, enforcement investigations, or regulatory decision-writing
- Advanced legal writing experience (decision letters, determinations, findings, or formal recommendations)
Requirements - Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal credentialing/access (e.g., background screening and PIV credentials)
