Description
The purpose of your role as a Benefits Analyst
The Benefits Analyst is a key player in keeping our benefits and retirement programs running smoothly and making them easy for employees to navigate. Working closely with the Benefits Manager, Benefits Coordinator, and the Human Capital team, this role blends data smarts with people-first problem solving. You'll ensure plans are accurate, compliant, and rock-solid in our Human Capital Management System (HCMS), while bringing technical know-how to streamline processes, partner with vendors, and support clear, helpful employee communications and reporting.
Retirement Planning + Deferred Compensation
- Be the engine behind smooth retirement plan operations—handling 401(k) deferrals, loans, QDROs, and other transactions with accuracy and care.
- Own retirement reporting, non-discrimination testing, and compliance (you keep everything on track).
- Bring retirement plans to life through clear communications, training, and open enrollment support.
- Keep retirement data clean and current in HCMS, partnering closely with Payroll on updates.
- Take the lead on the annual 401(k) audit as the go-to contact—coordinating details, timelines, and solutions with auditors and partners.
- Act as a trusted guide for employees navigating retirement and deferred compensation questions.
- Run the Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) plan, from open enrollment through ongoing compliance.
- Team up with internal partners and vendors to make retirement and NQDC processes seamless and stress-free.
Benefits Administration + Analysis
- Be the go-to connector between our team, benefits brokers, and vendors—keeping things moving and issues resolved.
- Team up with the Benefits Coordinator to tackle billing, invoices, and quality checks with confidence and accuracy.
- Turn benefits data, trends, and employee feedback into insights that help improve programs people actually care about.
- Keep our benefits house in order by executing audits, ACA tracking, and clean HCMS data.
- Help bring Open Enrollment to life by coordinating timelines, communications, and materials employees can actually understand.
- Jump into enrollment meetings and support employees with questions about coverage, eligibility, and claims.
- Stay on top of benefits compliance (HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA—you've got this).
- Collaborate with HC Operations and Payroll to make sure benefits data flows smoothly between systems.
- Create clear guides, training materials, and reports that make benefits easier for everyone.
- Pitch in on wellbeing initiatives and handle self-billed life and disability invoices with precision.
This is a hybrid role with the employee working in the office no fewer than three days per week.

25 years of experience managing projects from idea to execution within HR or benefits—you can juggle details and deadlines with ease.
25 years of navigating federal and state compliance requirements and keeping programs on the right side of the rules.
13 years of advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables don't scare you).
