Position: Business Intelligence Developer / MicroStrategy Analyst

Location: Tokyo, Japan

We are looking for an experienced MicroStrategy Developer/Analyst to join our APAC Business Intelligence organization as the primary BI representative in Japan. In this role, you will support key business teams-including Finance, Planning, and Merchandising-by developing MicroStrategy dashboards, maintaining existing reporting assets, and delivering ad-hoc analytics to drive better decision-making.

You will act as the point of contact connecting the Japan business with the APAC Analytics team in Shanghai, while also collaborating closely with our global BI teams in the US and India. The ideal candidate is a hands-on MicroStrategy expert who communicates effectively in both Japanese and English and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain MicroStrategy reports and dashboards for teams across APAC.
• Serve as the primary BI liaison between Japan stakeholders and the APAC Analytics team.
• Gather requirements, manage requests, and support day-to-day reporting needs from Japan teams.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support to help business users make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years of MicroStrategy report development.
• Ability to independently design and deliver MicroStrategy dashboards.
• Strong communication skills in English; Japanese language proficiency preferred for internal interactions.
• Experience in data or business analysis.
• SQL knowledge preferred; coding skills are a plus.
• Degree in statistics, economics, or a related field is an advantage.
