Why This Role Is Open
As we continue executing our long-term growth strategy, our current CFO has been promoted to a broader leadership role within the Hoffman organization. This transition creates an exciting opportunity for a new Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and help shape the financial infrastructure and strategy that will support our plan to double the size of the company within the next five years.
The Opportunity
The CFO will serve as a key advisor to ownership and executive leadership, overseeing all financial operations across our dealership network and affiliated businesses. This is a pivotal role focused on aligning financial management with scalable growth, operational excellence, and strategic investments. The CFO will report directly to the Owners Board, playing a critical role in informing strategic decisions and financial oversight at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial functions, including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and treasury.
- Partner with the executive team to evaluate and execute on acquisition opportunities and capital investments.
- Build scalable financial systems and controls to support a multi-state, multi-location organization.
- Guide operational performance through metrics, dashboards, and proactive financial analysis.
- Oversee finance teams and promote a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Report to and advise the Owners Board on key financial matters, growth planning, and enterprise risk.
- Serve as a strategic partner in long-range planning, market expansion, and investment strategy.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, master’s preferred
- Minimum of 10 Years experience in multi dealership environment
- Demonstrated success managing growth, leading finance teams, and working with ownership or boards.
- Experience with dealership operations or automotive retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
