A unique opportunity for anyone seeking to do something special for a year (or more!).  Live and work on the Pacific island of Saipan, a little piece of the US, where life is calm, patients are appreciative, and you are truly needed.  As the island's only ophthalmologist, serving 50,000 people, you will gain tremendous experience with the full scope of comprehensive ophthalmology.  The focus is on phaco for cataract surgery, and treatment of diabetic retinopathy with injectables and laser, with a mix of everything else -- glaucoma, corneal ulcers, pediatric cases, everything a population could have.  The island is on the edge of Asia with wonderful opportunities for travel and adventure.  

This is a great opportunity for anyone in any phase of their career, who is looking to be of real service.  We also welcome locum tenens.  We are open to all possibilities, and well-trained new graduates are also welcome.

Because it is an underserved area in dire need, in addition to US physicians, the medical licensing board allows non-US licensed doctors to work in Saipan without undergoing the USMLE or other exams, so we are also welcoming international applicants.
