Description
The European Financial Control team has crew based in Ireland, the UK and Germany. We are hiring a Corporate Reporting Manager in the Dublin team.The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who can take on new tasks & responsibilities, manage a busy team and provide support across a broad array of deliverables and adapt to changing workloads.
Core Responsibilities
1. Management of the external client rebates team. Direct management and supervision of team members, setting performance standards, reviews performance and ownership of critical reviews and operational impacts within the rebates space.
2. Manage the financial reporting process of Irish entities. Prepares required annual and interim legal entity reports, inclusive of appropriate footnote disclosures. Coordinates the annual audit process and ensures compliance with all standards and regulations.
3. Manage the regulatory reporting process and ensure that monthly and quarterly regulatory filings are prepared and filed.
4. Ownership of the regulatory forecasting needs of Irish entities, including monitoring the capital position and ensuring appropriate capital to meet operating and regulatory needs.
5. Ownership of capital and liquidity adequacy assessments & related stress testing. This will involve working with Enterprise Risk Management and multiple teams across Vanguard.
6. Preparation of board / committee reporting and associated memos (for example financial reporting, capital, and liquidity adequacy).
7. Supporting elements of the month end accounting process (including journal postings in Oracle) and coordination with finance counterparts.
8. Ownership of key third party oversight engagements. Tracking external and intragroup performance versus agreed SLA's and advancing the controls of such.
9. Participate in special projects across the broader organization and perform other duties as assigned
10. Supporting the Financial Control team across the UK and Europe with reporting responsibilities and BAU activity.
In addition, you will
1. Keep up to date on regulatory and accounting changes and the impact for Vanguard's European entities in the context of financial control.
2. Advise leadership on technical and industry updates as required.
3. Enhance process documentation and the implementation of controls over key processes.
4. Identify and recommend procedural improvements to drive departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Build and develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
What it takes
- Great attitude and a true team player.
- Communication skills and an ability to manage multiple deliverables.
- Team management experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Preference for financial services, regulatory reporting and audit experience.
- Undergraduate degree and ACA, ACCA , CIMA (or similar) qualified.

- This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office Tuesday-Thursday
