Description
OverviewThe Membership Sales and Events Coordinator is responsible for driving membership growth and managing private and club-hosted events. This dual-role position combines sales, marketing, and event planning to enhance the member's experience and promote the club's offerings. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a golf or hospitality setting.
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in membership sales, event planning, or hospitality.
- Familiarity with golf club operations or private club environments is a plus.
- Experience with CRM systems, point-of-sale, or event planning software.
Skills:
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events and tours.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a golf club, country club, or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of golf terminology, tournaments, and club culture.
- Social media marketing experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Membership Sales:
- Actively promote and sell golf & social memberships to prospective individuals, families, and corporations.
- Conduct tours of the club and facilities for potential members.
- Follow up with leads, schedule meetings, and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.
- Develop and implement membership campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Prepare and process membership applications, contracts, and onboarding materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members and prospective members to encourage referrals and retention.
Event Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute member events, golf tournaments, corporate outings, and private functions (e.g., weddings, banquets, and fundraisers).
- Collaborate with kitchen, golf, and operations staff to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Manage event bookings, contracts, timelines, and logistics.
- Oversee setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination of events.
- Develop and promote annual club event calendars and special member-only experiences.
Marketing & Communications:
- Create marketing materials and communications to promote membership and events (emails, flyers, social media, etc.).
- Maintain the club's website and online platforms with up-to-date membership and event information.
- Track member engagement and collect feedback to improve services and offerings.
- Attend community events and networking opportunities to promote the club.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records in the club's CRM or membership management system.
- Prepare reports on membership sales, renewals, and event performance.
- Process payments and coordinate billing for events and memberships.
- Provide excellent customer service and serve as a main point of contact for member questions.
