Our St. Thomas, VI office has an opportunity for an Associate Attorney to join the firm’s dynamic and long-established practice and represent premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high-level role providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires contact with clients, courts and governmental agencies, and opposing counsel and physical presence in the St. Thomas, VI office.
Duties include all aspects of corporate labor and employment legal representation, but are not limited to, developing creative ideas and pragmatic solutions for client problems, litigation and trial work, and conducting or advising about workplace investigations.

Requirements
Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the Virgin Islands at the time of application. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice in the Virgin Islands.
Candidates must possess 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably including labor and employment experience, and a strong interest in developing a practice representing employers in labor and employment matters.
Candidates must possess experience with all aspects of discovery, including conducting and defending or supporting the defense of depositions, and preferably must possess experience representing employers before administrative agencies, in arbitration, and in bench or jury trials.
Candidate must have experience preparing dispositive motions and must be able to provide excellent written and analytical work reflecting a strong attention to detail.
