Job description:
Field Organizers will build local grassroots teams to lead direct voter contact, volunteer
recruitment, and volunteer retention for the Mahan for Governor Campaign across
California.
Responsibilities:
Field Organizers have the following responsibilities and duties:
Build grassroots teams to provide direct voter contact and manage volunteer
recruitment and retention.
Implement field techniques, including managing and executing phone banks to
recruit for rallies and town halls, as well as canvassing events.
Develop strong relationships with local stakeholders and groups.
Build local volunteer infrastructure across the state.
Requirements:
Field Organizers should have the following skills, attributes, and experience:
Ability to take and implement feedback.
Willingness to be held accountable for meeting metrics and goals set forth by the
Field Director, Deputy Field Director, and Regional Organizing Directors.
Passion for Mayor Matt Mahan’s gubernatorial campaign and interest in recruiting
Californians to participate in the effort.
A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and a willingness to travel frequently.
Willingness to commit fully to the demands of a high-intensity statewide race,
working nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in California politics and proficiency in Spanish are preferred
qualifications.
Location: On-site in California (flexible on location within the state)
