About the Company

Founded by Paul Maurer, PGA in 2023, Edge Golf Performance is a 6,000-square-foot, year-round indoor golf training facility in Columbia, Maryland focused on junior development and long term player growth.

Edge serves juniors, competitive players, and adults through private instruction, the PMG Junior Academy, camps, clinics, leagues, and PGA Junior League. All programs follow a structured development model supported by objective assessments and technology-based feedback.

Facility resources include:

• Four TrackMan bays
• Swing Catalyst force plates
• SAM PuttLab
• 2,000 sq. ft. short-game and putting area
• Integrated golf fitness space
• High-speed video analysis

Position Overview

Edge Golf Performance is seeking a full-time Golf Coach to play a key role in our Junior Academy and the delivery of our instructional programs.This position is designed for a PGA Associate or newly elected PGA Member looking to establish a full-time coaching career in a structured, growth-oriented environment.

The coach will work closely with the Director of Instruction and gain hands-on experience in curriculum-based junior development, technology-supported instruction, and high-volume programming.

Our coaches work together, learn from one another, and stay actively engaged in teaching, practicing, playing, and continuing to grow as professionals.

Experience Required

• PGA Associate or newly elected PGA Member
• Junior coaching or teaching experience preferred
• Comfortable communicating with juniors and parents
• Organized, reliable, and coachable
• Availability for evenings and weekends

Essential Responsibilities

• Coach Junior Academy classes and support structured junior development programming
• Deliver private golf instruction to juniors and adults
• Coach and support PGA Junior League teams and seasonal junior competition programs
• Utilize TrackMan, Swing Catalyst, SAM PuttLab, and video analysis to support instruction and player development
• Document lessons, assessments, and player progress through CoachNow
• Assist with player evaluations and skill assessments
• Support camps, clinics, leagues, and special instructional programs
• Assist with instruction, transfer practice, and select programming at partner outdoor facilities, as scheduling and programming allow
• Collaborate with the coaching team and uphold Edge coaching standards

• Compensation structured on an hourly and commission-based model, with earnings tied to lesson volume, program involvement, and client retention
