The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolic Diseases at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a candidate that is board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. The Endocrinologist will participate in clinical care, research, and teaching in charming Charleston.
Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolic Diseases-Department of Medicine:
We have a fifty-year distinguished history of clinical, translational, and basic research on the complications of diabetes. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolic Disease Care has been recognized as High Performing in Diabetes care in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report. This honor underscores our dedication to helping patients manage diabetes with innovative treatments and personalized care.
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology
- Academic Orientation, interest in teaching, and a passion for outreach
- Providing exceptional patient care
Position Highlights:
- Will treat patients with a full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, gonadal, and metabolic disorders, in addition to diabetes.
- A new joint endocrine/obstetric clinic has recently been opened, and telemedicine initiatives are in development.
- Will work with a team of sixteen physician and ten nurse practitioners/physician assistants and dieticians.
- Teaching duties will focus on education of the six Endocrinology fellows in training and the rotating residents and medical students.
