OverviewJob Summary & Description
- The Head Golf Professional at Coosaw Creek Country Club is a key leadership position reporting directly to the Director of Golf. This role is responsible for the daily execution and operational excellence of all golf programs and services, working in close collaboration with the Assistant Golf Professionals and Outside Services staff to deliver an unparalleled member experience consistent with the club's elite standards.

Qualifications and Requirements
- PGA Class A member in good standing.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Head Golf Professional or a senior Assistant Golf Professional at a private country club of similar caliber
- Demonstrated experience in golf instruction, tournament management, retail operations, and staff supervision.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team in a collaborative environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, the Director of Golf, General Manager, and staff.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in golf-related software (e.g., tee sheet management, POS systems, tournament software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding product awareness, industry trends, and PGA initiatives.
- A positive attitude, unwavering focus on member service, and a passion for the game of golf.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the club's needs.
- Valid driver's license.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
- Oversee daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, practice facilities, cart fleet maintenance, and golf staff operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to the club's golf rules, policies, procedures, and etiquette.
- Along with the Director of Golf, coordinate with the Golf Course Superintendent on course playability, maintenance, and tournament set-up.
- Deliver exemplary service to Members and guests, fostering a welcoming and exclusive environment.
- Actively participate in Member relations and club social activities.
- The Head Golf Professional is expected to be proficient in their golf abilities and willing and eager to engage and participate with Members on the golf course and practice facilities.
- Efficiently anticipate and address Member inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Assist in the development and execution of the golf instruction program for all skill levels, including individual lessons and clinics.
- Work with all Golf Professionals to schedule and deliver instruction of all types, ensuring consistent high-quality coaching.
- Collaborate with the Director of Golf to promote and manage player development initiatives, including junior golf programs and clinics for various demographics.
- Assist the Director of Golf in overseeing the Golf Shop's purchasing, inventory, and merchandising strategies to maximize profitability and member satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director of Golf on product selection, display, and sales techniques.
- Ensure the Golf Shop offers a curated selection of high-quality equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Anticipate and execute special orders for Members in a prompt fashion.
- Eagerness to assist Members with club repair.
- Assist the Director of Golf in the planning, promotion, and execution of a robust tournament schedule, member leagues, and other golf events.
- Work with the Director of Golf to manage all aspects of tournament operations, including planning, promotion, course set-up, scoring, and prize distribution.
- Ensure all events run smoothly and efficiently, enhancing the Member experience.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Assistant Golf Professionals and other golf operations staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and support their professional growth.
- Assist the Director of Golf in the recruitment, hiring, and training of golf staff.
- Assist the Director of Golf in developing, managing, and monitoring the annual golf operations budget, including forecasting revenues and controlling expenses.
- Support the implementation of effective systems for tracking and managing revenue from green fees, lessons, merchandise sales, and other golf activities.

- $58,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience.
