We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support our HR operations with a strong focus on benefits billing reconciliation, DOT compliance, recruiting, employee training coordination, and state-funded training program applications. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain DOT driver compliance records including physical, licenses, and testing requirements.
- Full cycle recruiting for all field non-exempt employees
- Assist Talent Manager in coordinating and tracking companywide training initiatives and compliance deadlines.
- Provide general HR support including onboarding, file audits, and ensure that employees in safety sensitive positions have completed required training prior to field work.
- Research, apply for, and manage training reimbursement opportunities through state and multi-state programs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support HR and company operations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of HR experience; benefits or payroll background preferred
- Familiarity with DOT regulations preferred
- Experience with training program funding (ex: Michigan’s Going PRO Talent Fund) a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Excel and HR systems. ADP experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
