We are seeking a dynamic Licensing Managerto manage all aspects of our licensed business across 10+ brands. The person in this role will spearhead general management of our licensed business with a special focus on building and maintaining licensor relationships. You will be the expert and key liaison, understanding all strategic aspects of each licensed program. This role will also be involved in various marketing initiatives, compliance, and new business opportunities. While SG is highly collaborative, you’ll need to be able to work independently and with autonomy, being comfortable making decisions, executing those decisions, and presenting to the larger group.
The Licensing Manager will report to the VP, Licensing & Marketing, and will take ownership of daily Licensing deliverables and ensure that SG meets all the requirements as determined by the licensing contract. This is a highly cross functional role that will work closely with Sales, Design, Finance, E-commerce and Production.
Requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential licensing partners.
- Manage licensing budgets; Monitor and report on the financial impact of licensing activities.
- Build business presentations inclusive of sales, product, distribution and marketing plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage product approvals including line reviews and samples maintenance.
- Coordinate and fulfill all licensor requests, including placement, ASIN/UPC, Inventory, and customs requests.
- Ensure internal contract compliance
- Serve as compliance liaison between HK team and licensors
- Maintain audits, authorization letters, and manufacturing agreements.
- Stay on top of sustainability trends as well as requirements by licensor
- Communicate brand updates and contract renewals to internal teams
- Lead co-marketing + PR initiatives with licensors
- Conduct and analyze market and competitive research to identify new opportunities and trends.
