Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Minneapolis, MN office for a Litigation Associate with three to six years of experience. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and critical thinker who can independently handle complex legal research and drafting assignments with minimal supervision. The candidate will have experience in all aspects of general commercial litigation or relevant litigation areas. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Draft complex motions, briefs, memoranda, and other pleadings with little oversight, including dispositive motions, injunction-related filings, appellate briefs, and jurisdictional challenges.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research on nuanced statutory, regulatory, and case‑law issues.
• Support all stages of litigation-from pre‑suit strategy and risk assessment to trial preparation and appellate work.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to break down complicated legal questions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Large law firm experience strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

• Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Compensation & Benefits:

• The salary range for this position applies to Minnesota. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $215,000 - $240,000 in Minnesota.
