Overview

We are looking for a full time (Summer) Nike Junior Golf Camp Instructor. The Nike program is offered for 2 weeks at The Crossings at Carlsbad, 1/2 day camps and 8 weeks at Oaks North Golf Course, full day camps. Nike camps are for juniors 8-16 and designed for mostly newer golfers but with some intermediate junior golfer.

The positions start June 8th and finishes August 14th. The 1/2 day camps are from 8:30 to 12:30 and the full time camps run from - 8:30 to 4:30. Both camps are Monday-Friday.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into the profession of golf coaching and get experience of working with the #1 rated Junior Golf Academy on the west coast.

Experience Required

• High level of playing background - High school/College or low handicap
• Understanding of the golf swing and willingness to learn
• Available during the week days between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30 pm
• Some experience working with, teaching and coaching Juniors
• Organized, punctual, has reliable transportation and willing to commute if needed.
• Comfortable working both individually and in a team of instructors
• Ability to move equipment when needed

Essential Responsibilities

• Follow directions of the Lead camp instructor.
• Ensure a safe practice environment for students.
• Daily checkin and check out of camp students.
• Daily instruction in small groups covering Full Swing, Short Game and Putting.
• Accompany students on course for 9 holes each day.(full day camps)
• Monitor students during lunch time. (Full day camps)
