Description
UK Export Finance is seeking a high‑calibre Portfolio Manager to take a lead role in managing some of the UK's most strategically important export credit transactions. As a principal deal lead, you will be responsible for protecting taxpayer interests while shaping outcomes on high‑profile, multibillion‑pound global projects.Operating at the intersection of structured finance, export credit and complex transaction management, you will work directly with international banks, sovereign borrowers and major global corporates. Your portfolio will span corporate finance, defence, project finance and emerging market sovereign‑backed deals-offering unrivalled exposure and influence.
About the role
You will manage the ongoing performance and risk profile of a portfolio representing over £35bn of exposure across c.135 medium‑ to long‑term facilities. This includes reviewing amendment and waiver requests, ensuring compliance with covenants and UK Content requirements, and identifying emerging risks early. You will lead negotiations on post‑issuance issues and present recommendations on complex matters to senior UKEF decision‑makers.
Working closely with the Head of Post‑Issue Management, you will help maintain strong operational governance and contribute to the strategic direction of the Post‑Issue team. You will also lead and develop at least one direct report, shaping a collaborative and high‑performing culture.
