Description
Quantitative Research (a/k/a Researcher) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Cambridge, MA): Will be responsible for the following: Design and test quantitative models to meet specific trading business needs; Develop code, product specifications, and processes for implementation; Work directly with subject area experts from across many Global Markets businesses to document needs, prototype new ideas, and deliver products; and Apply statistics, advanced prediction, machine learning / AI, and other techniques and rigorously test the efficacy of models, strategies, data-driven processes, and infrastructure. Less than 5% domestic travel required. Hybrid telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or its equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematical Finance or related quantitative discipline; plus 6 months of experience in investment management, investment research, data science, or a similar field involving quantitative techniques for data and analysis.
Must have: Strong familiarity with theoretical and practical concepts in data analytics, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms such as clustering, random forest and XGBoost, etc.; Relevant experience in working in a trading environment and collaborating with traders; Relevant experience with fixed-income products including structuring and pricing; Strong familiarity with financial terminals such as Bloomberg; Strong familiarity with concepts in investment management, financial products, asset allocation, risk management, and investment strategy design; Highly proficient coding skills, Python or SQL, and attention to detail; and Highly effective communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully and perform under pressure. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently).
Salary: $105,000 to $190,000 Annual.
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
