Position Overview
The Equity Research Intern will assist in analyzing listed companies to provide investment recommendations to institutional and private investors. Moreover, will work with Senior Associates and Analysts in various product areas within the Americas in learning to follow and analyze industry news flow, review SEC filings and other sources of financial information, develop and maintain earnings and valuation models, conduct research with industry and secondary sources as well as draft reports on relevant investment topics.
The role requires high ethical standards, a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive approach, interest in financial markets, financial modeling, and valuation methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Follow and analyze industry news flow
- Help conduct and write industry research, including investment recommendations
- Help develop and maintain financial models
- Participate in earnings calls, meetings with corporates, and client meetings
- Keep industry data files up to date
Requirements
Qualifications
- BA/BS candidates expecting to graduate in 1-2 years - all majors are considered; finance or economics is a plus
- Superior quantitative, analytical, written, communication, and leadership skills are essential
- Working proficiency in Excel
- Interest in pursuing the CFA program is a plus
- A second fluent language is required (English)
