Description
Job DescriptionAs part of our Strategic Controlling department, you will actively drive strategic projects of Hapag-Lloyd AG as a member of the Controlling Projects team. You will work on a diverse range of projects and your responsibilities will for example include the independent preparation of strategic and operational analyses for our Liner and Terminal segments, (partial) management of transformation and cost projects, and the support of investment initiatives. In this position, you will work closely with our senior management as well as internal stakeholders from different regions and departments.

Responsibilities
- Contribution to strategic and operational projects within our Liner and Terminal segments from a financial point of view and responsibility for sub-projects in cross-functional collaboration
- (Partial) management of transformation and cost optimization projects as part of the PMO, ensuring the achievement of financial effects and creating transparency for senior management
- Independent preparation and detailed analysis of business cases for various projects (e.g., investment initiatives)
- Responsibility for internal controlling projects (development and implementation of new concepts and tools) and continuous monitoring of project goal achievement
- Preparation of briefing and decision-making documents as well as ad-hoc analyses for senior management and the various committees of Hapag-Lloyd AG (including the Executive Board)
Qualifications
- Completed university degree, e.g., in business, logistics, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable subject
- Relevant practical experience of 3 or more years in management consulting, (strategic) controlling or M&A with a focus on interdisciplinary project work
- Experience in executing and managing transformation and cost projects
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a diverse range of topics
- Independent and goal-oriented working style with a high level of commitment and flexibility to take on own (sub-) projects
- Strong affinity for numbers and data, excellent analytical skills
- Quick comprehension and structured approach to complex issues
- Strong communication skills in presenting information tailored to different audiences and management levels
- Very good, proven English skills in spoken and written form
- Experienced user of MS Office tools; ideally experience with analytics and BI software such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI
