Description
We seek an SLP who desires to be part of a growing LSL Center of Excellence, and who is passionate about working with babies and children who have hearing loss. A solutions-oriented mindset, ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
All Ears! Center’s family-focused Listening & Spoken Language (LSL) Team believes that children who are deaf and hard of hearing can learn to listen, speak and read as they develop alongside their typical hearing peers. We are passionate about guiding and coaching parents to help their children reach optimal spoken language outcomes, heightened literacy, and lifelong independence. Our organization is rapidly growing and highly committed to team collaboration with the goal of reducing our area’s infant loss to follow-up rate of over 50%.
Requirements
- Execute high quality evaluations and assessments
- Deliver high quality intervention, including caregiver coaching and education
- Engage in compassionate counseling with families
- Collaborate effectively with All Ears! team members and outside professionals
- Commit to AG Bell Academy Auditory-Verbal Principles and All Ears! Center’s Mission
- Practice self-assessment to identify areas of needed improvement
- Master's Degree
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience preferred
- LSLS/AVT Certification from AG Bell Academy OR desire to mentor for certification
- Valid Texas SLP license
- Bilingual (Spanish) fluency a plus
