Responsible for overseeing, reviewing and directing the processes related to Investment and Plan Level Fee related changes for all Lines of Business-including paperwork creation, notice creation, fund change processing, and overall fee and fund product knowledge. Oversees the system's development and maintenance related to these processes. Manages and develops staff, including assistant managers. Requires a fundamental knowledge of investment related products, risks and operational characteristics associated with the fund and fee change processes and how they impact all areas of the business.
What you will do
- Manage the team responsible for the processes and set-ups associated with Investment and Plan Level Fee related changes.
- Maintains and meets budget expectations including revenue responsibility by keeping gain loss errors low, operating costs via staffing models, and staying within yearly budget.
- Maintains effective relationships with clients-internal and external.
- Manages, implements, monitors and recommends changes to processes related to these processes across multiple lines of business, including maintaining procedures and monitoring of controls.
- Provides guidance to team members to maintain quality applications to ensure compliance with system upgrades, product enhancements, product changes, new product designs, and new Institutions.
- Familiar with the system design and monitor periodic upgrades to the system.
- Reviews processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness
- May be involved with testing of additional system functionality by providing resources, performing testing, or assisting testing teams.
- Coordinate and assist in various departmental projects, including but not limited to System upgrades/enhancements, streamlining of processes, business conversions and regulatory requirements.
- Interaction with internal and external auditors and in-house counsel will occur on a regular basis to ensure audit requirements are met or remediated if necessary.
- Performs duties inherent in a management role. Conducts performance reviews, approves requests for vacation/myTime, manages performance issues, and has hire/fire authority.
- Trains, coaches, mentors and directs the work of direct reports-individual contributors and assistant managers.
- Will plan and determine staff reorganization necessary to accommodate fluctuations in workflow or staff absences.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- FINRA fingerprinting required.
- 5+ years of insurance and/or financial services experience with three to four years of supervisory experience preferred.
- An understanding of the financial markets and retirement plans
- Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks and projects of varying complexity with high dollar volume.
- EASY experience is highly preferred
- Strong supervisory, organization, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of management and staff.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and WEB based apps.
- Ability to independently manage department workload and proactively identify projects as necessary.
