Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and develops test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.

Responsibilities:

• Designs and implements test plans for complex technological projects, and interprets specifications
• Confers with engineering personnel to review test plans, including content and duration, in order to generate optimum insight
• Provides first level failure analysis and works directly with engineers, taking a critical role in root cause determination
• Trains junior technicians and coordinates the activities of other personnel working on multiple test projects
• Constructs and prepares necessary equipment to perform diagnostic tests on machinery and components
• Prepares technical reports citing issues and errors within technical process
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree required
• 6-9 years testing experience
• Understands schematics and electronic documentation
