Description
The Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking qualified candidates for part-time and full-time faculty positions in the non-tenure clinical track for the Pre-Doctoral and Post-Doctoral education programs.
The Department of Endodontics aspires to be one of the top clinical endodontic training programs in the world, while actively engaging our residents in important clinical and translational research.
The department has responsibility for educational and research programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education levels. An accredited program at the postdoctoral level is available for qualified students wishing to become specialists in endodontics.
The Department seeks an individual with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary care and willingness to engage with all departments in the College. Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical teaching responsibilities at the predoctoral and postgraduate levels.
The budgeted salary range for the position is $100,000 to $165,000. The listed range is based on a full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment and will be prorated based on the percentage appointed. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
This position is intended to be eligible for benefits. This includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents.

Requirements
Candidates must have an earned DDS/DMD (or equivalent) degree, be eligible for licensure in Illinois, and have completed an Advanced Education Program in Endodontics. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years teaching experience in Endodontics with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship, scholarship, and service. Extensive clinical experience is desirable. The preferred candidate should demonstrate the ability to promote an equitable, inclusive and diverse scholarly environment. An advanced degree (M.S., MEd, PhD, etc) is desirable. Approximately one day/week intramural or extramural clinical practice opportunity is available.
