The Club at ArrowCreek in Reno, NV, is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of a Part-Time Host/Hostess! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.General Purpose:
A Host, or Greeter, is responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus and accepting phone calls.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture values and mission of The Club at ArrowCreek.
- Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ascertains their dining/lodging needs.
- Seats guests and manage the seating chart.
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.
- Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
- Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, and lobby.
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as directions and information. Maintains the lobby in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assists with all food and beverage activities.
- Assists in educating guests regarding policy, current wait times, restaurant information and all other requested information they may require.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of dining room operations required.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
- Assigned including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests and employees both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to perform basic math computations.

- The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
