Florentino & Grimshaw LLC is a boutique, management-side labor and employment law firm focused on collaborating with employers to navigate all aspects of the employment lifecycle. Our firm works with employers of all sizes, both for-profit and not-for-profit, in a variety of industries.
We are looking for a full-time attorney to join our team. The role will assist with all aspects of our practice, including, but not limited to:
Providing clients with strategic advice and counseling;
Drafting policies and employment-related documents;
Assisting with employment dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration;
Conducting internal investigations;
Researching and drafting position statements and other documents related to agency charges and litigation;
Conducting training for clients on labor and employment topics, including anti-harassment training;
Assisting with negotiations of collective bargaining agreements;
Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal developments in labor and employment law.
Candidates should expect significant client contact and to work in a collegial environment, with an emphasis on teamwork.
Requirements
Three or more years of experience practicing employment and/or traditional labor law.
JD from accredited law school; stellar academic credentials.
Current member of the New York State Bar in good standing. Additional bar memberships a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent judgment, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Must be comfortable speaking directly with clients.
Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects and deliverables.
Attention to detail.
Committed collaborator who enjoys working closely with colleagues and clients to provide practical and solution-oriented advice.
